China will maintain high growth in 2005
According to the latest forecast of Asian Development Bank, China s annual economic growth rate is expected to reach 8.3% in 2004. They are convinced that China s economy will maintain high growth rate from 2004 to 2005, despite the efforts of economic cooling-down by the Chinese government. They expect China s economy will keep growing by 8.2% in 2005.

China s strong demand for hardware products
With the rapid development of China s economy and improvement of people s living standard, the demand for the hardware products keeps soaring in the Chinese market. China s imported hardware product volume soared up to USD8.786 billion in 2003, at an annualized growth rate of 72.3%. On one hand, as the infrastructure construction boom is taking place in China, the rapid development of construction, decoration, automobile and transportation has created the huge market for hardware products. On the other hand, due to the housing construction & household decoration boom and the newly emerging kitchen & bathroom revolution, the demand for hardware products, esp. the imported mid & high standard is going up steeply. China s import trade volume of hardware products is expected to maintain the high growth rate of 30% plus in the coming 5 years.

China s hardware export goes up steadily
China s export volume of hardware products reaches USD16.27 billion in 2003, up 14.9% compared with that of 2002. In the first half of 2004, the import & export trade volume of China s mechanical & hardware product amounts to USD280.73 billion, increasing by 44.5%. China s hardware products export is expected to keep increasing at the annualized rate of 10% plus in 5 years.

CIHS 05 aims to be the world 2nd largest hardware show
CIHS 05 will take place from Oct. 11 to 13, in Shanghai New Int l EXPO Center. It will see a great gathering of 1,500 local & overseas leading hardware enterprises and 50,000 trade visitors in a gross space of 58,000m2 . CIHS 05 will become the most important hardware trade show in the latter half of 2005.
